| Biography
Angela Spicer is owner and principal of Angela Spicer Associates, an executive coaching and leadership development practice in Washington, DC. Angela has over twenty-five years of experience in management, leadership development, and in coaching executives to achieve organizational goals. She has been instrumental in coaching leaders through major organizational change, helping them identify future vision, values and organizational direction. Her work with new executives has enhanced their ability to reduce the learning curve while asserting strong, value-based leadership within the organization.
Prior to establishing her own practice, Angela served as the Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for the American Chemistry Council (ACC), served as Executive Staff Director and later Director of Human Resources at the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).
Her earlier experience as instructor, Director of Counseling, and Principal in private school systems, and as General Manager in a small business, equip her to work in a variety of organizational settings and give her insights into small business needs and operations.
Angela holds a B.A. in psychology and education from Seton Hall University and an M.A. in guidance and counseling from Villanova University. She has continued to expand her personal and professional skills through post-graduate work at the University of Michigan and organizational development courses at Georgetown University. She has also completed certification programs at both the Center for Creative Leadership and Georgetown University's Leadership Coaching Program.
Angela has served on the Board of Directors as chair of the Membership Committee Human Resource Leadership Forum. She has also served on boards of non-profit charitable organizations. |
